JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assist in the supervision of personnel to maintain equipment, clean, and disinfect school facilities. Assume the duties of any custodian or lead custodian in the District when needed. Deliver supplies and equipment wherever needed. This position will entail some extended hours, evenings, and weekends.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead and direct other custodians.
2. Responsible for seeing that all work schedules are carried out.
3. Move furniture and equipment.
4. Perform all Custodian and Lead Custodian duties for work assignments.
5. Responsible for the upkeep of all Custodial equipment.
6. Responsible for the use of all Custodial equipment, chemicals, and supplies for work assignment.
7. Assist in the set-up of special District events such as graduation ceremonies, Board meetings, community meetings, etc.
8. Respond to emergency calls as needed and be on-call/stand-by as assigned by supervisor.
9. Maintain confidentiality.
10. Regular attendance.
11. Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

• Trained in all District Custodial work
• One year custodial experience with District Custodial Department
• Safe driving record

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:

• Valid High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas Driver's License

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Organizational skills
• Communication skills
• Have a working knowledge of all custodial jobs in the District.
• Must be able to organize and lead crews.
• Must be able to operate all vehicles and equipment belonging to custodial.
• Must have strong mechanical skills.

SALARY:
PAY GRADE: AUX - 7 - Minimum hourly rate - $24.50
DAYS: 261 START DATE: 2025-2026 School Year
