Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples for specialized tests from all out?patients and a selected group of in?patients in a safe and timely manner
  • Demonstrate accountability and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures
  • Perform department procedures with competency and problem?solving skills for abnormal results
  • Execute quality assurance and quality control activities, performance monitors and improvement initiatives
  • Maintain fiscal responsibility for property, equipment and supplies
  • Enhance professional growth, development and knowledge
  • Achieve professional goals set during the evaluation period
Qualifications
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Experience in phlebotomy and laboratory specimen collection (minimum 1 year)
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of laboratory information system preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shift rotations
