Position Title: Civil/Structural Engineer

Position Description

The Civil/Structural Engineer is expected to be able to perform routine engineering functions with little supervision. Work is reviewed by a senior level engineer for accomplishment of objectives.

Essential Functions

• Assists in the preparation of Site Data Sheet
• Assists in the preparation of requisitions for inquiry in support of purchasing Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings, Structural Steel for supports, Pre-fabricated pipe supports, and subcontracts.
• Assists in the preparation of proposals for Geotechnical Investigation & Topographic Surveys.
• Prepares technical bid evaluations for Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings, Structural Steel for supports, Pre-fabricated pipe Prepares civil and structural calculations for the design of various civil/ structural elements pertaining to the project.
• Reviews plot plans and facilities for Civil/Structural requirements.
• Reviews vendor documents.
• Reviews the discipline scope of work to be executed to ensure it matches project specification and/or the proposal documents as appropriate.
• Accepts both short and extended term assignments to the site, client's office, etc. as may be requested by the Chief Civil/Structural Engineer.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Typically 2 - 6 years of experience in engineering.
• Knowledge of computer systems in an engineering environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
• EIT Certification preferred

Work Environment/Physical Demands

• Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
• Frequent sitting and operating a computer.
