The Original Ninfa's on Navigation is the birthplace of the Fajita and is a legendary Houston institution for Tex-Mex cuisine. A James Beard Award-nominated restaurant that is both rich in history and always delicious, The Original Ninfa's on Navigation has hosted generations of Houstonians and visitors alike for more than 45 years.
The Original Ninfa's is expanding to Houston's Uptown and we are building a team to grow our one-of-a-kind brand. We are now accepting applications for an experienced, energetic and hardworking Sous chef.
Individuals who apply must submit a current resume and should have the following skills:
Professional, Accountable, Respectful and Punctual
2 years of experience in a leadership role of a high-volume ($5MM+) full-service restaurant.
5-7 years of experience working in high-volume kitchens.
Previous experience with New Store Openings.
Experienced in training of staff and implementing policies and procedures.
Understanding of inventory procedures, food cost, labor costs & scheduling.
Great organizational and communication skills.
Computer skills, including Word, Excel, Aloha POS, and Hotschedules a plus.
Experience in opening and closing a restaurant on a daily basis
Must have food managers certification.
Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive attitude.
Ability to work individually as well as with a team
