Organization: Elite Hospice and Palliative Care

Location: Greater Houston Area (in-person)

Type: Volunteer | Commitment: Flexible | Age: 18+

Elite Hospice is seeking compassionate Companion Volunteers to visit hospice patients and offer comfort through conversation, presence, and emotional support.

Duties:

• Visit patients at home or in care facilities
• Provide companionship: talk, read, or simply be present
• Offer emotional support (no hands-on care)
• Log brief visit notes (training provided)

Requirements:

• Age 18+
• Empathetic, reliable, and a good listener
• Comfortable with end-of-life care
• Must complete a background check and free volunteer training
