Job Summary

Industrial Electrician IV is responsible for the installation of electrical systems and controls on natural gas compression modules and related equipment. This role ensures safe and efficient operations on motors, switchgears, MCCs, VFDs, instrumentation and control systems in accordance with company standards, safety regulations and industry codes.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit/cable tray using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
• Installation of cable glands. (CMP, Hawk Glands).
• Perform organized and professional wire terminations for reliability and appearance.
• Responsible for making final terminations on electrical equipment ranging from 24?V control systems to 4160?V medium?voltage systems. Design layout and installation of electrical wiring based on job specification.
• Observes the functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.

Qualifications

• Excellent problem?solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• 5+ years industrial electrical experience with direct industry experience.
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Experience in planning and executing complex installations with minimal supervision.
• Must have experience wiring control panels, junction boxes and various instruments.
• Installation of cable glands is highly preferred.
• Relevant experience in the gas compression and gas processing industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of P&ID and electrical schematics.
• Excellent communication and problem?solving skills.
• Capable of providing guidance and leadership to junior personnel as needed.

Physical Requirements

Industrial environment. This role will require a large amount of standing, bending, squatting, lifting and walking on a constant basis. May be required to lift, carry and move up to 50?lbs. Many tasks have high degrees of time sensitivity.
