Job Description

Were searching for a Systems Analyst, someone whos ready to be part of the best-ranked childrens hospital in Texas and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will review, analyze, and modify programming systems including configuration, testing, debugging, and documenting applications. You will also consult with customers to identify current operation procedures and to clarify program objectives. Additional responsibilities include workflow administration, data management, and performing minor modifications to the application.

The ideal candidate for this position has strong technical skills and is a true professional. The technical skills include Windows server administration experience, web?design, and overall knowledge of IS technologies to allow them to understand issues and assess impacts to Epic. Technical processes including data migration, change management, documentation, detail orientation, and troubleshooting are required. Previous experience with Epic is a plus but not required. The attributes of a true professional include being customer service oriented, a team player, self?motivated but willing to take direction and adhere to processes, a need to take ownership of issues, and integrity in all matters.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Translate users needs into detail requirement specifications
  • Identify system or application needs
  • Analyze current business practices, user needs and workflow processes
  • Document the current as?is and to?be business processes
  • Perform vendor analysis and make recommendations
  • Investigate alternative solutions including feasibility studies using results from vendor analysis/evaluations
  • Support the system installation through the implementation cycle
  • Perform configuration analysis for system design associated medium?sized projects of average complexity
  • Analyze system problems and modifications
  • Coordinate implementation and upgrades of complex systems

Skills & Requirements
  • Required H.S. Diploma or GED
  • Preferred bachelors degree
  • Required at least 7 years experience in computer science, business administration, healthcare administration or nursing
  • Preferred hospital information systems experience
  • Bachelors degree will substitute four (4) years of work experience. Masters degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience
  • Up to two (2) years of clinical patient care and/or clinical research experience may substitute for up to two (2) years of information systems experience on a month?to?month basis

Specific Experience We Are Looking For
  • Data Courier (Migration)
  • (Certifications in addition to experience a plus, but not required)
  • A Systems Analyst II Epic Migration/Data Courier has a major role in developing application solutions by investigating processes to understand data and communication flow.
  • This position is responsible for migrating new build and supporting existing Epic build analysts.
  • Provide daily support making routine decisions including the evaluation of application problems and the implementation of their resolution.
  • Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of the software, functionality and acquiring knowledge of work flows to be implemented on the system.
