MEDITECH Analyst – LAB / LIS

Position Summary

CereCore is seeking to hire a MEDITECH LAB Analyst to join our growing team. This role will focus on the implementation, optimization, onboarding, and ongoing support of the MEDITECH Laboratory Information System (LIS), ensuring accurate integration and smooth adoption during facility transitions. This role is LIS-focused and requires strong experience with laboratory workflows, dictionary build, and onboarding activities.

The analyst partners with laboratory staff, clinicians, and IT stakeholders to configure, validate, and support system functionality, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with industry standards. Success in this role requires strong LIS expertise, effective communication, and the ability to guide process improvements that enhance both clinical outcomes and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Experience with installation of clinical electronic healthcare systems.
  • Working knowledge of Health Information Systems, with a strong emphasis on LIS platforms and laboratory operations.
  • Able to assimilate feedback from clients and actively drive process improvement and culture change as implemented/approved by leadership.
  • Uses professional knowledge and experience to advise the client on optimal laboratory and LIS workflows, system configuration, and dictionary build decisions.
  • Openly shares this knowledge with peers via Peer-to-Peer training.
  • Develops documentation and project content for internal or external utilization, including onboarding materials and LIS-specific workflow documentation.
  • Has excellent communication skills verbally and in writing, customer service focus, and is able to work independently or on a project team.
  • Drives client communication process to develop and enhance client understanding of project Best Practices, timelines, tasks, client commitments, and risk/issue mitigation.
  • Independently monitors own work for accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Shares knowledge with project teams and clients and drives process change within both client environments and internal teams.
  • Prioritizes own tasks and assists peers with task identification and documentation.
  • Understands project deliverables and level of effort to complete; participates in strategic planning with clients and supports statement of work development as needed.
  • Drives incorporation of Lessons Learned into department practice and methodology, including process improvement initiatives.
  • Supports onboarding activities for new facilities, laboratories, or staff, including system readiness, validation, and stabilization efforts.

Position Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working in a Laboratory Information System (LIS) environment, including supporting, building, or optimizing laboratory workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with MEDITECH LAB/LIS, including dictionary build and configuration in either MEDITECH Magic or MEDITECH Expanse (required).
  • Experience with Lab Integrations, including analyzers and interfaces.
  • Highly preferred: prior onboarding experience, including new facility onboarding, lab onboarding, or major workflow transitions.
  • Intermediate to expert ability to work in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally with clinical, technical, and operational teams.
  • Creates deliverables independently.
  • Provides coaching and technical and functional guidance on specific project deliverables.
  • Leads communication of requirements to development, testing, education, and training teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • A strong sense of responsibility and accountability; takes ownership and initiative.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant healthcare IT / LIS experience will be considered
