Quality Manager Fluid Sealing Industry

We are partnered with a Global Player in the Fluid Sealing Industry. Seeking a Quality Manager to assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, policies, documentation, data, and customer?specific requirements. Reporting to the Plant Manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Quality Assurance

• Conduct problem?solving activities to resolve internal and external nonconformances with permanent irreversible corrective action; the main responsibility.
• Develop, implement, and oversee quality?assurance activities including finished?goods inspections, audits, testing of raw materials, in?process materials, quality?control plans, procedures, and standards. Conduct part inspection: layout, in?process, final, and receiving using mechanical inspection tools.

Quality Management System (QMS)

• Develop, implement, and maintain the QMS in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
• Ensure effective integration of the QMS into all operational processes.
• Lead continuous?improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to eliminate waste and reduce variability.

Customer Focus

• Act as point of contact for quality?related customer concerns and complaints.
• Develop corrective and preventive actions to address customer feedback and improve satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Stay updated with changes in regulations and standards affecting the manufacturing industry.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate documentation, including records of inspections, audits, and test results.
• Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.

Supplier Quality Management

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality of incoming materials.
• Conduct supplier audits and assessments to verify compliance.

Other Requirements

• Problem?solving experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with measurement systems including CMM and gage R&R studies.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to perform multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and interpret assembly and component drawings and engineering specifications.
