Regional Safety Manager- Generation (Houston/Pittsburgh)
Job Summary/Purpose
All members of NRG's safety function will be expected to own safety, work to prevent incidents and seek to improve with the understanding that zero harm is possible. The Regional Safety Manager will be responsible for providing support to assigned plants within their region in addition to developing, deploying, managing, and improving assigned safety and occupational health programs. The Regional Safety Manager will also be responsible for supporting the development of safety specialists and safety committees within their assigned region. There will be regular opportunities to demonstrate skills in change management, contract management and communications. This position will also be required to present to leadership the health of the program for which they are responsible, communicate any deficiencies identified and develop sustainable solutions to prevent future issues. It will be expected that the Regional Safety Manager engages with their peers to support their growth and build bench strength within the safety function.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Required or equivalent work experience
Minimum Experience: 7+ years industry/safety experience with at least 4 years of power plant experience
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities
Any Certificates, Licenses, etc.: Required: ASP/CSP/COSS/OHST/CHST or equivalent
