Job Title: Structural Engineer (Contract)

Location: Houston, TX

Assignment Duration: Approximately 1-2 months, starting immediately (June 2025).

Job Summary: We are seeking highly skilled Structural Engineers with specialized expertise in structural fatigue analysis, particularly for offshore floater hulls. This is an urgent, short-term contract opportunity for professionals proficient in Femap and Nastran to provide critical support to ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive structural fatigue analysis of offshore floater hulls and related components.
  • Develop and review finite element models using Femap.
  • Perform advanced structural analyses, including fatigue calculations, using Nastran.
  • Interpret analysis results and provide actionable engineering recommendations to ensure structural integrity and compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to integrate fatigue analysis findings into design decisions.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations of analysis methodologies and results.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Mandatory: Extensive, proven experience in offshore floater hull structural fatigue analysis.
  • Mandatory: Demonstrated proficiency with Femap for pre/post-processing and finite element modeling.
  • Mandatory: Strong expertise in Nastran for performing complex structural analyses.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Structural, Ocean, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • In-depth understanding of fatigue principles, fracture mechanics, and relevant offshore structural design codes (e.g., API, ABS, DNV).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
