The Mobile Hose Testing Technician is part of the Mobile Hose Preventative Maintenance program and is responsible for a variety of tasks related to testing of hose related parts. The function of the Mobile Hose Testing Team is to meet or exceed customer expectations and to achieve team results and company goals while meeting operating revenue, growth, and service. Maintaining a safe working environment and good housekeeping conditions is always a key priority. Reports to the Mobile Hose Testing Supervisor/Hose Management Director.
This role may include a mix of customer onsite work and warehouse floor environments. Work is primarily performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and wind. Ability to pull, push, grasp, bend, lift and carry up to 50lbs independently on a repeated basis. Heavier items may be moved with team assistance or mechanical aid. Ability to move freely throughout job sites, including walking, standing, climbing, and bending for extended periods during the full workday. Frequent kneeling, crouching, and reaching to access hose connections and perform inspections, often in confined or uneven areas. Ability to comprehend work instruction and safety procedures, written or verbally. Ability to count and measure accurately. Ability to properly and safely use mechanical equipment and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to enter and exit a service vehicle multiple times per day. Ability to visually inspect hoses for wear, damage, and leaks, including reading pressure gauges and equipment indicators. Ability to hear safety signals, instructions, and potential malfunctions in noisy environments. Use of hands to detect hose imperfections or leaks during testing. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, hearing protection, or hard hats, depending on task or site conditions.
