Dispatcher opportunity in Patient Transportation. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and two years experience as a phone dispatcher, call center agent, or managing customer requests via phone. With preferred degree, no experience required.
SHIFT/HOURS: Monday- Friday 12:00 PM - 10:30 PM including rotating holidays and weekends. The shifts are 10-hour shifts.
This position will require a mandatory departmental training/orientation schedule for the first 8 weeks of employment. Training will be conducted Monday-Friday and consist of the following:
Weeks 1- 4 6:45am-3:15pm or/8:45am-5:15pm or/9:45-6:15pm
Weeks 5-6 6:00am-2:30pm
*Weeks 7-8 2:00pm-10:30pm *
The primary purpose of the Transportation Dispatcher position is responsible for assigning escorts to transport patients and specimens both safely and efficiently to designate areas throughout the Institution and is responsible for monitoring transports, answering the phone, providing customer service and communicating with the supervisors and the staff of the requesting areas.

Preferred Certification: Heart Saver with AED, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
by American Heart Saver Association
Experience: Two years of experience as a phone dispatcher, call center agent, or managing customer requests via phone. With preferred degree, no experience required.
Preferred Experience: Two years of experience working in a healthcare or senior living environment.
