Fabrication Shop Safety Coordinator
Steel Fabrication
A client AISC certified Steel company based in Texas is looking for Safety Coordination in their fabrication shop. They deliver a turn-key steel package to their clients in Texas and surrounding states. Projects range from Commercial Institutional, Modular Warehouses, Industrial and Heavy Truss. Seeking to a Safety Coordinator to our steel fabrication shop in Houston Metro.
Safety Coordinator Duties:
- Shop Inspections, PPE Ordering/Inspecions
- Safety Meetings (Toolbox Talks)
- New Hire Orientations
- Bi-weekly meetings with Safety Committee
- Monitor compliance with Safety Protocols
- Injury / Near miss investigations
- Safety Corrective Actions
- Kick off Meetings for jobs
- Visitor Safety Briefings
Safety Coordinator Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Safety regulations and policies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in inspections
- Flexible work hours to interact with night shift
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a must
