The incumbent will manage administrative tasks such as handling requests, meeting arrangements, preparing reports, updating housing and family details in the database, providing support, acting as a point of contact for clients, and maintaining a proper filing system for multiple grant records.
Description of Duties/Essential Functions:
Working Conditions:
There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially a normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditioning. The position occasionally requires stooping or bending. Occasionally very light lifting, such as three or four reams of paper (up to 20 pounds or equivalent weight) may be required.
Minimum Requirements:
Education Requirements: Requires a high school diploma or a GED.
Experience Requirements: Two (2) years of administrative or customer service related experience are required. Substitution: An Associate's degree may be substituted for up to two (2) years of experience.
Preferences:
Preference shall be given to eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.
Experience working in Public Health and with the community.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Salary Information: Grants and Special funded positions are dependent upon continued available funds. If funding is no longer available, employee may be laid off or transferred.
Factors used in determining the salary offered include the candidate's qualifications as well as the pay rates of other employees in this classification.
