• Lead and manage the nursing staff within the Cardiac Operating Room (CVOR), including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Oversee daily operations of the CVOR, ensuring effective coordination of surgical procedures and optimizing patient flow.
• Maintain high standards of patient care by ensuring adherence to established protocols, infection control measures, and safety standards.
• Manage resource allocation, including surgical instruments, staffing levels, and equipment, to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, patient-centered care.

Candidate requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in the CVOR or related surgical nursing field, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
