Position Reports To: Director of Fuel Pricing and Profitability

Job Objective: Support the Fuel Pricing and Profitability function by executing accurate, data-driven pricing activities across assigned markets. This role ensures timely pricing updates, maintains customer price files, analyzes market and competitive trends, assists in the preparation of proposals and bids, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize margins, strengthen pricing strategy, and enhance overall commercial performance.
Responsibilities:
Support the development, maintenance, and execution of fuel pricing strategies across assigned markets
Manage customer price files, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards
Conduct competitive pricing analyses and synthesize data to inform daily and strategic pricing decisions
Monitor fuel market conditions, including cost movements, supply dynamics, and competitor trends to support informed pricing recommendations
Evaluate pricing performance and key margin drivers, identifying actionable opportunities for improvement
Perform margin reviews and data-driven pricing analysis to enhance pricing accuracy, profitability, and competitive positioning
Track and report on industry trends, regional market shifts, and customer behaviors to assess pricing risks and opportunities
Prepare concise, data-backed pricing insights for leadership and cross-functional partners
Collaborate closely with Supply, Sales, and Operations to ensure pricing decisions align with margin targets and commercial strategy
Gather, validate, and analyze data from cross-functional teams to support the design and implementation of pricing initiatives
Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on customer proposals, contractual pricing terms, and margin expectations
Analyze bid documents to understand pricing requirements, specifications, and compliance criteria
Draft, edit, and format bid proposals, ensuring the deliverables are clear, compelling, compliant, and professionally presented
Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm all proposal documents meet company standards, customer specifications, and internal compliance expectations
Maintain accurate documentation of pricing processes and proposal workflows
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance pricing operations, data quality, and system efficiency
Other tasks as assigned by manager
Basic Requirements:
Locals only (must live within 60 miles)
35 years of experience in pricing, analytics, financial modeling, fuel distribution, or related commercial support roles
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate insights into recommendations
Demonstrated proficiency in Excel (vLOOKUP, pivot tables, advanced formulas), PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare high-quality pricing summaries, proposals, and reports
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
High attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity
Professional, ethical, and organized work style
Preferred:
Experience in fuel distribution, energy, logistics, or commercial pricing
Experience supporting bids, RFP responses, or customer proposal management
Working knowledge of pricing systems or fuel market tools (e.g., AXXIS, OPIS, Platts)
Familiarity with fuel pricing, commodity dynamics, or energy market fundamentals
