Team members must demonstrate core skills which include understanding company safety policies, housekeeping standards, statistical process control, following verbal and written instructions, knowing the product line and manufacturing standards, and the essential duties for assigned workstations. Essential job functions include operating various machine sections, conducting set-ups and machine adjustments, operating/monitoring the different support systems, supplying raw materials to systems, conducting testing to maintain quality data, maintaining recycling centers in the area, and assisting in all machine startups/lace-ups.
Educational requirements include a minimum education of a high school diploma. Candidates must be able to read, write, perform the four basic math functions, and be physically able to perform the essential duties.
Work experience of 1-3+ years in a manufacturing environment is required. Candidates must have a basic knowledge of 5S.
Skills and abilities include adherence to strict safety policies, adherence to the highest quality standards, ability to troubleshoot equipment, raw material & process deficiencies, ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to all levels of the organization, ability to recognize and prioritize various tasks/projects at the same time, ability to work 8 to 12 hours on his/her feet and climb safety ladders when necessary to complete various tasks within the position, and ability to work well with other team members on a team and other teams.
