Job Details

As a pipe blaster, you are responsible for performing custom hand blasting that is involved in the production of L. B. Foster steel pipe products while following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe. Production Workers are trained to work in all areas of production. This is a straight night shift role, but training will be on day shift (5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) for one month. Shifts may start at 3, 4, or 5 p.m. can be 8, 10 or 12 hours long. Responsibilities Follow all safe work practices and procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Carryout verbal and written instructions from Foreman. Complete jobs in a timely fashion to ensure on time shipment. Lift raw materials, finished products, and packed items, manually or using hoists. Trained to complete pre-operation equipment inspections and report any issues identified. Trained to set up, adjust, and operate all basic machine tools.
