Job Grade: 10

Hourly Pay Rate: $25.97 - $33.17

Location: 19665 Airport Parkway

Civil Service: Yes

Shift Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00am - 5:00pm), and occasionally be on-call after hours.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• MUST HAVE VALID TEXAS DRIVERS LICENSE
• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in general building maintenance or construction
• An electrical background required
• Must have own hand tools
• Must be self-motivated and willing to work as directed
• Physically able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to physically work indoors and outdoors
• Must be able to work occasional overtime; holidays/evenings/weekends

Primary Job Duties
• Under general supervision, responsible for performing various duties dealing with building maintenance and construction, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, etc.
• Regular contact with public
• Responsible for semi-skilled performance
• General cleaning interior and exterior of buildings
• Any other duties assigned

After receiving a conditional offer of employment, applicant must pass a drug screen (1/2 cost = $20.00, responsibility of applicant) and may need a physical agility test (1/2 cost = $22.50, responsibility of applicant) before becoming an employee of Montgomery County.
