The Manufacturing Associate will perform general manufacturing tasks such as, but not limited to, wood door preparation, aluminum frame assembly, painting/finishing hollow metal frames, order picking, sorting and loading of finished product.

Essential Functions
  • Required to perform various manufacturing tasks including painting, grinding, and product assembly
  • Responsible for daily activities of production, ensuring products adheres to standards of safety and quality
  • Responsible for reading Work Orders and Product Templates to establish necessary fabrication to be performed
  • Performs quality control checks and helps maintain customer requirements
  • Maintains general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by shop supervisor
  • Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location
  • Package manufactured items and label correctly
  • Scan delivered items and ensure quality
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors
  • Load/Unload trucks for shipping /delivery to proper location
  • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
  • Current and valid US driver's license preferred
  • At least 1 year prior experience in a fast paced production/manufacturing environment preferred
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms; read tape measure; safely operate basic hand/power tools; meet production quotas; and work closely and cordially with other staff associates
  • Capable of working in a factory environment
  • Must display strong attention to detail and quality
  • A desire to learn to operate machinery and product assembly

Physical Demands
This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.

Work Environment
This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.
