Function: To operate a machine to make molded plastic parts. Scope: The position is accountable for making molded plastic parts for use internally in all product lines. Duties/Responsibilities: Performs duties of a Molding Operator I. Visually inspects mold for damage. Operate Injection Molding Machine. Ensures machine is operating properly. Prepare material for molding. Ability to read and understand drawings. Hand loads- Insert and remove material from molds. Visually inspect parts. Clips and trims parts as needed. Ability to purge machine as needed. Responsible for quality and quantity of finished products. Maintains work area in a neat orderly condition. Some ability to assist/setup and start a process. Ability to assist/clean a screw. Ability to document and train operators. Perform additional duties, responsibilities and assignments as directed.

Given: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Received: Takes direction from a Supervisor, Lead or Mold Tech.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent is required
Working Conditions & Safety Concerns:
Works at machine in well-lighted manufacturing area using rubberized safety gloves to prevent finger burns. Job can be done sitting or standing. Some activities require the use of machines with moving parts.
