Description:

Clayton Services is searching for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join a reputable company in the North Houston area. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, handling emergency repairs, and ensuring that the facilities remain safe, clean, and functional at all times.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $20.00-$23.00/hour

Facilities Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on building systems and equipment.
  • Conduct general facility repairs, including drywall, painting, doors, and fixtures.
  • Assist with cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance of trash receptacles across the facility.
  • Perform tasks such as replacing light bulbs and maintaining building safety standards.
  • Follow company procedures, safety protocols, and timekeeping requirements.
  • Support facility needs, including special projects and weekend work as required.
  • Other duties as assigned
Facilities Maintenance Technician Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or with a team.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
Facilities Maintenance Technician Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • 2+ years of previous experience in facilities or building maintenance is preferred.
  • Automotive or industrial facility experience is a plus.
