Litigation Associate

A busy civil litigation practice in Houston, TX is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its team and support a growing plaintiff-focused docket. In this role, you will work closely with senior attorneys on a mix of pre-litigation and litigation matters, including depositions, mediations, drafting pleadings, negotiations, and trial preparation. This position offers hands-on experience, early responsibility, and the opportunity to build strong litigation skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume plaintiff-side docket in collaboration with senior attorneys
• Participate in depositions, mediations, and direct settlement negotiations
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Assist with trial preparation and courtroom strategy
• Attend periodic in-office meetings and court appearances as required
• Strengthen litigation skills while receiving ongoing mentorship and training

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active membership in the Texas State Bar
• 03 years of legal experience (plaintiff-side personal injury preferred but not required)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Collaborative mindset and positive attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
