Kforce has a client that is seeking an Inventory Specialist in Spring, TX.Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Specialist to support our fast-paced R&D lab focused on enterprise technology development. This role is essential to maintaining the flow of lab operations by managing inventory, supplies, and server-related equipment.Key Responsibilities:Inventory Management:* Maintain accurate records of lab supplies, components, and server-related hardware* Monitor stock levels and reorder materials to ensure uninterrupted lab operations* Receive, inspect, and log incoming shipments of technical and lab equipment* Coordinate with vendors and procurement teams for timely delivery and restocking* Organize and label inventory for efficient access and trackingLab Support:* Assist with setup and maintenance of server racks, networking gear, and lab benches* Support basic lab procedures such as equipment calibration, sample labeling, and workspace preparation* Perform routine cleaning and upkeep of lab tools and technical equipment* Collaborate with engineers and researchers to ensure equipment readiness for testing and prototypingDocumentation & Reporting:* Maintain digital and physical inventory logs using inventory management systems* Generate regular reports on inventory status, usage trends, and forecasted needs* Work closely with lab staff to align inventory with project timelines and technical requirements* 2+ years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a lab or IT hardware environment* Familiarity with server hardware, networking components, and lab support tools* Strong organizational and communication skills* Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Skills:* Experience in a technology lab setting* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team* Comfortable handling and organizing server-related equipment and technical components
