The successful candidate will play a key role in the development and qualification of welding machines, procedures, and schedules from concept to commercialization through experimentation and process verification to ensure production manufacturing can be performed repeatability. • Ownership of welding processes: Identification of future development needs, qualification of new schedules/specifications and work instructions, and design of welding fixtures.
• Assist with development of Nadcap and ASME welding programs and certifications.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and designers to build prototypes of new products, using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Conduct rigorous testing and validation procedures to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of prototype and first article units.
• Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, test results, dimensional inspection, and design iterations.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and communicate technical issues during the development process, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
• Participate in design reviews and reporting feedback for continuous improvement of products and processes.

• Experience writing, developing, and qualifying welding procedures specifications and schedules for fusion welding and resistance welding processes.
• Proficient technical writing skills pertaining to creating code-specific documentation.
• Well versed in ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, AWS D17.1, and AWS D17.2 welding codes.
• Practical knowledge of carbon steels, nickel-based alloys, and titanium.
• Meticulous critical thinker capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Possess an understanding of mechanical drawings, materials packaging, bellows, and sheet metal forming processes.
• Must have strength to lift 50lbs from floor to waist.
• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
