The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC) seeks an Associate Director, Research Planning and Development to lead data strategy and governance for institutional research programs and the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG). The role collaborates with the Executive Director, CCSG Administration, Executive Director, Shared Resources, AVP-Programs, Infrastructure & Planning, and leadership in the Office of the Chief Scientific Officer (CSO). The Associate Director oversees the Data Scientists in CCSG & ERD to design, develop, and manage predictive and statistical models to support data-informed decisions and MD Anderson's strategic goals. Responsibilities include building a central data repository, enabling consistent data usage across the institution, and providing input and guidance for research evaluation and decision-making. The role works with CCSG Leaders and institutional executive leadership on scientific and productivity evaluation of research programs and shared resources and assists leadership in implementing Cancer Center initiatives to meet CCSG requirements. The position fosters cross-organizational collaboration and supports multi-project grant development with the Office of Multi-Project Grant Development. It also oversees strategic plan development and tracking.
