Job Summary
• The Southern Devall Project Manager will play a critical role in managing the execution of strategic and operational initiatives. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is idea for a hands-on, detail-oriented leader who can organize complex initiatives, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive project teams toward timely, on-budget delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans including timelines, resource requirements, milestones and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of goals, priorities, and execution
  • Budget Development
    • Work with project owners and stakeholders to develop project budgets
  • Budget Tracking
    • Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates and forecasts to leadership
  • Project Oversight
    • Track progress of multiple concurrent projects, identify risks and roadblocks, and proactively propose mitigation strategies
  • Support Prioritization
    • Assist the COO in prioritizing initiatives based on strategic importance, operational impact, and resource availability
  • Team Coordination
    • Work closely with individual project owners and support personnel to maintain momentum, accountability, and transparency
Required Licenses & Certifications
  • Must hold an active and valid driver's license to support travel between sites or for field-based responsibilities.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Logistics, or related field (MBA or PMP a plus)
• 5-10+ years project management experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, energy or industrial sectors
• Strong organization and multitasking skills with a track record of managing complex projects from initiation to completion
• Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Asana, or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High emotional intelligence and the ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Familiarity with marine or logistics operations is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to travel to other Southern Devall offices as needed
• Works independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions
• The position typically follows a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule; however, flexibility is required to accommodate irregular hours for special tasks or assignments as directed by management.
• Work may be performed on-site or remotely, depending on job responsibilities and with prior approval from department leadership. Additionally, occasional out-of-region travel may be necessary to assist with off-site projects or other work-related events.

Physical:
• Lift, carry, push, or pull items up to 50 lbs., and perform physical motions such as bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, squatting, and reaching.
• Maintain visual and auditory acuity necessary for operating vehicles, observing work environments, and communicating effectively.
• Operate standard office equipment and handle objects with precision.
• Remain stationery for extended periods when required, while also being able to maneuver company property safely.
