This includes coordination of detailed design, schedule, procurement, and stage gate processes (P&ID review, Hazop, Model Reviews, Safety Reviews). The project engineer provides critical value by ensuring the project stays on track to meet business goals. They serve as the key interface between various organizations within Messer, gaining insights into organizational functioning and how Messer delivers value to customers, which they leverage to advance their projects.Why Messer? Join us and take pride in making a meaningful impact through solutions that matter, within a stable, inclusive company offering diverse opportunities in a growing industry, supported by caring people.Principal Responsibilities Support the Project Manager in all aspects of project execution both in the office and in the field.Coordinate discipline engineering efforts between internal engineers and EPC partners to ensure completeness and timeliness.Manage the project schedule on a daily basis.Handle the transactional processes of purchases and invoices.Manage the document control process.Oversee all design reviews, including HAZOP/PSR and PSSR processes.Coordinate with Construction and Commissioning Program Managers on manpower requirements.Perform planning and implementation of commissioning activities.Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, including budget, schedule, and technical aspects.Required Skills Proven technical knowledge across multiple engineering disciplines.Knowledge of FEL/Stage/Gate project management methodology (PEMBOK) and project management software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, Primavera).Understanding of relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements.Ability to travel 20-40% for site visits, shop visits, coordination with contractors, QA/QC support, etc.Ability to manage multiple engineering efforts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.Approximately 5-10 years of relevant experience in industrial gases or chemical plant design, operation, or projects.About Messer Messer's safety culture and commitment to providing dependable supply and innovative gas solutions help customers be safer, more sustainable, and more productive.
