This position is within the US Business Operations, Power Systems business unit. Power Systems Architects are experts in electrical distribution and associated technology; they possess a deep understanding of customer support, commercial strategy, and business operations. This is a critical role supporting the National Sales Force (NSF) in pursuing large, strategic, and complex Power Systems opportunities.

Mission

As part of the US Power Systems team, this role supports the NSF by creating early opportunity pipelines from multiple sources, developing pursuit strategies for qualified opportunities, and providing technical support through design optimization, equipment bid strategies, and formal training.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Build early opportunity pipelines through input from sales, marketing, and third-party databases.
  • Qualify opportunities based on Power Systems strategic objectives.
  • Develop pursuit strategies focusing on early engagement, targeted product offerings, and cross-business collaboration.
  • Lead opportunities through the Customer Project Process (CPP) from pre-sales to project execution.
  • Coach sales personnel on best practices.
  • Provide formal product training and serve as an informal technical sales resource on power systems topics.
  • Evaluate market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities; adapt marketing strategies accordingly.
  • Utilize business and financial knowledge to craft compelling value propositions.
  • Implement competitive sales tactics to win business.
Qualifications
  • BA degree required (engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years industry experience in electrical distribution sales or related technical roles.
  • Advanced knowledge of MV and LV distribution equipment and power systems architecture.
  • Self-motivated with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Strong business and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Knowledge of Schneider Electric offerings is a plus.
