Shift: First shift; may require some flexibility and have the ability to work an occasional Saturday.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced First Shift Production Supervisor to lead and manage our first shift production team. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient operation of the production floor while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role requires a hands-on leader who can motivate and guide a team toward achieving production goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily manufacturing operations during the first shift to meet production goals, quality standards, and deadlines
• Provide clear direction to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely
• Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct regular performance evaluations
• Enforce company policies and procedures, promoting a culture of accountability and teamwork
• Collaborate with first and third shift supervisors to ensure seamless transitions and effective communication
• Troubleshoot production challenges and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, conducting regular safety inspections and training
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics, attendance, and inventory

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Skills:

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
• Must be available to work the second shift and occasional overtime or weekends as needed
