When you join our team as an Assistant Store Manager, you'll take on key store management responsibilities including supervising daily store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, developing operational plans, and identifying training opportunities to develop the team.

Position Details

  • Type: Full-Time
  • Average Hours: 38 hours/week
  • Starting Wage: $24.50/hour
  • Wage Increase: Year 2 - $25.50/hour

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve results
  • Set clear job responsibilities and performance expectations
  • Identify training opportunities for team development
  • Communicate and model company values to foster teamwork
  • Monitor community environment and suggest strategic adjustments
  • Provide product feedback and make recommendations
  • Participate in hiring and interviewing store personnel
  • Communicate weekly updates and team milestones
  • Ensure adherence to inventory, product handling, and cash policies
  • Resolve customer concerns in the absence of the store leader
  • Maintain safety standards and store cleanliness
  • Assist with stock management and merchandising
  • Support payroll, inventory, and training processes
  • Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues appropriately
  • Ensure team completes responsibilities promptly and effectively
  • Uphold company policies and confidentiality

Physical Demands

  • Stock merchandise, lift up to 45 pounds, and perform store duties
  • Sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, and walk regularly

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Provide excellent customer service and develop rapport with team
  • Interpret and apply policies, set goals, evaluate performance
  • Manage budgets and expenses, operate cash registers
  • Operate store equipment safely, communicate effectively
  • Stay organized and detail-oriented
  • Meet state requirements for alcohol sales

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 3 years retail experience, management preferred
