Purpose of the Role

We seek a seasoned and results-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee material procurement, expedite orders, manage manufacturing schedules, and lead procurement processes related to equipment and materials. The role involves managing a team to ensure timely delivery within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Expedite and Coordinate Procurement Activities: Oversee procurement activities aligned with project needs.
  2. Manage Manufacturing Schedules: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure schedules are met.
  3. Report Preparation: Prepare and interpret procurement reports and schedules.
  4. Team Leadership: Lead and guide the procurement team, manage staff, and set priorities.
  5. Technical Expertise: Apply procurement principles, provide guidance, review work, and troubleshoot issues.
  6. Project Planning and Control: Plan, monitor, and report on procurement projects, ensuring policy compliance.
  7. Personnel Management: Possibly manage direct reports, participate in hiring, training, and performance assessments.
  8. Systems and Process Improvement: Develop and enhance procurement systems and processes.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Bachelor's
  • Proven experience in project procurement, preferably in energy, chemicals, or resources sectors
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment

Required Education

Bachelor's degree

Preferred Experience

Experience in strategic markets within procurement
