Shift: Second shift; may require some flexibility and have the ability to work an occasional Saturday.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control (QC) Inspector with proficiency in operating the FaroArm portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM). The QC Inspector will be responsible for performing dimensional and visual inspections of machined and fabricated components to ensure they conform to specified drawings and requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong background in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment and is adept at using advanced measuring equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the FaroArm to conduct precise measurements of components and assemblies
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine inspection criteria
• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify product conformity
• Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment to ensure accuracy
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control inspection within a manufacturing setting

Skills

• Proficiency in operating the FaroArm for dimensional inspections
• Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of workplace safety and machine maintenance procedures
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed

• Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
