Provide strategic guidance and thought leadership in model-based PMI processes and manufacturing process automation.
Define Proof of Concept (PoC) objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
Project Execution:
Develop a detailed PoC plan, outlining the process for PMI schema development and utilization assessment with downstream manufacturing and quality teams.
Lead the development of 20 model-based PMI models, ensuring they meet manufacturing and quality requirements and are integrated with downstream processes.
Coordinate data collection efforts with manufacturing and quality teams to improve alignment between product design and production processes.
Process Improvement & Cost Assessment:
Analyze existing processes and identify areas where model-based PMI can drive improvements, focusing on automation opportunities in machining, assembly, and quality control.
Propose and implement process changes to reduce errors, improve part traceability, optimize tolerance management, and streamline design change integration.
Evaluate potential cost-saving opportunities and report on how model-based PMI can drive long-term cost efficiency.
Validation & Reporting:
Measure performance against defined success criteria and KPIs to validate the success of the PoC.
Document and report on the effectiveness of model-based PMI, highlighting improvements in process efficiency, cost savings, and automation opportunities.
Provide comprehensive documentation and a final PoC report with actionable insights and recommendations for scaling model-based PMI across additional product lines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
Extensive experience in model-based PMI processes and systems.
Proven track record of leading projects from a thought leadership perspective.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing process automations, including machining, assembly, and quality control.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of quality control systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Familiarity with design, manufacturing, and quality processes.
