The Sr. HRIS Analyst at francesca's is the key technical HR professional who, in conjunction with the Sr HRIS Manager, leads in the support and development of the company's Human Resources Information System that services approximately 6,000 team members. We are looking for a team leader who has a passion for system administration as well as customer support for our team members. The successful candidate for this position has a working understanding of HR & Payroll policies and practices as well as a deep fundamental working knowledge of all Workday functional components and is able to share knowledge with the HR team and our partners.

This position will be based in Houston, TX or Columbus, OH.

What you'll do:

  • Resident Workday SME for the “How” & “Why” questions for all users
  • Creates ad-hoc and standard reporting required for HR as well our business partners
  • Develops and participates in testing, analyzing and documentation of HRIS processes and system updates in Workday
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system problems with reporting, integrations, business processes and other configurations, partnering with the Payroll team, where applicable
  • Trains HRIS & HR personnel on system processing and creates the required training documentation, provides direct daily support and information sharing with the HR Analyst
  • Supports & collaborates with various departments & people in varying levels and roles to provide instruction and project management on Workday related business objectives & tasks
  • Continuously identifies process and design efficiencies, recommends & implements change as appropriate
  • Audits and maintains configurations in the HR system to support on-going system performance
  • Key lead in Workday system upgrades to include testing, auditing, change management and documentation
  • Works on other projects and assignments, as required for business requirements and team support

What you bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Business, IT or related field of study or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of progressive HRIS experience in HR Systems role required
  • 3+ years of Workday Knowledge: HCM, Security, Comp, Benefits, Payroll, Talent, BP's, Reporting, Integrations
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills, experienced in data and root cause analysis and documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word & Outlook, with expert level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Possesses a strong work ethic for working with and maintaining confidential information
  • Able to effectively communicate in written and verbal forms, with technical & non-technical stakeholders
  • Takes initiative as an independent worker, is organized, detailed focused with the ability to multi-task and prioritize, attention to detail a must
  • Effectively manage projects, keeping to required deadlines
  • Keen business acumen
  • Agile and flexible, at ease in a fast-paced environment
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the working day
  • Required to occasionally move inside the office to access file cabinets, machinery, attend meetings, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, etc.
  • Frequently communicates with team members and external partners on various subjects relevant to job function. Must be able to accurately and effectively exchange information in all situations.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, extensive reading.
  • Repetitive motions of the wrists, hands and/or fingers required for typing
