Clayton Services is searching for a Senior Structural Engineer to join a thriving company in Bellaire, Texas. The Senior Structural Engineer will lead and design small to large projects with a primary focus on various structures, including retaining walls, site development, drainage, paving, structural foundations, and structural steel.

Job Type: Direct Hire

Pay Rate: $115,000 - $145,000/year

• Lead the preparation of design concepts, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates.
• Prepare and review design calculations for accuracy.
• Perform structural analysis, design, and detailing of concrete, steel, and timber structures.
• Coordinates design drawings with fellow engineers and drafting technicians.
• Perform design checks as part of the LEI quality metrics and best practices.
• Participate in the inspection and rehabilitation of existing structures.
• Help resolve design problems that may include performing field investigations or inspections, detailed design works, and detailed checking of design computations done by others.

Senior Structural Engineer Skills and Abilities:

• Familiarity with AutoCAD, SAP2000 or STAAD, and Ensoft (L-pile/A-pile)
• Availability to travel to client sites
• Excellent math and analytical skills.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Senior Structural Engineer Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• Professional Engineering registration in Texas or able to obtain within six months of hire.
• Ability to work on Federal Projects and meet federal requirements.
• Possession of or eligibility to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC) preferred.
