General Qualifications
The Lone Star Lights Event staff must be a mature follower of Jesus, still growing and developing in their
faith. They must be fully in accordance with Carolina Creek's mission statement, and statement of beliefs; committed to living these out personally, and instilling them in the organization. They must be of strong moral character and integrity.
Position Objective
The Lone Star Lights Event staff member will work various positions to ensure that the event runs to the best of its ability. These various positions could include, but are not limited to dinner theatre servers, adventure and activities, cleaning, snow zone, retail, parking attendant, etc. to create a positive, and memorable experience for Lone Star Lights guests.
Job Type
Key Job Accountabilities - Assist in a variety of stations as needed. Areas may include:
- Dinner Theater - serving meals, collecting dishes from tables, washing dishes, and other kitchen assignments
- Facilitating adventure activities: challenge course, zipline, and giant swing for guests of all ages
- Supervise general recreation areas such as the light maze, snow zone, train rides, bounce house
- Craft areas - supervise craft area, provide craft instructions as needed, point of sale for craft participation, maintain clean craft area
- Story book reading
- Provide cleaning support around park during the event
- Guide guests to the correct lots and parking locations with a smile
- Attend all required staff meetings and events
- Actively engage and participate in the staff community through a godly attitude, words and actions
- All other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Pay $60 per night including housing and meals for nights worked
Commitment Bonus if you work at least 17 of the 19 event nights.
Dates Set Up - November 11 - 21
Event Dates - November 22 - December 22 (Nov. 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, Dec. 1, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22)
Strike (camp reset) - January 2 - 17
QualificationsEducation/Certifications/Licenses - 18 years of age or older is required
- A current valid driver's license
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
Work Experience - Prior experience working events, customer service, or hospitality preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Must be a team player, and willing to work in all types of weather
- Must be detail oriented
- Must be able to work independently
- Must be proactive
- Must be able to follow instructions well
- Must be flexible with an ability to adjust and problem solve in challenging situations
Physical Demands: The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in hot and cold conditions. Requires sitting, standing, squatting, stooping, twisting, and ability to lift/carry anywhere from 15 to over 60 lbs.
Additional Requirements - Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance
