This Air/Field Scientist will travel extensively and collaborate with others in a laboratory setting, performing quality assurance technical assessments of State, Local, and Tribal air monitoring stations. Bring your drive to excel and collaborative skills to make an impact protecting the environment and supporting the mission of the US EPA. You are invited to join a 5-10-member team of seasoned professionals, several of whom have more than 30 years experience supporting the EPA.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer your Public Trust certification.
Serco supports the US EPA as a prime for their ESAT contract which supports the OAQPS ambient air program through the EPA Region 6 Houston Laboratory. Our team implements a performance evaluation program for ambient air instrumentation used to monitor air quality for particulate, including PM2.5 and TSP-Pb, and criteria gas pollutants, including ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides. The Serco team works closely with the customer providing quality support. The position provides a great way to jump start your career in environmental science.
